Memories Bridal & Evening Wear is the premier bridal, prom, and pageant shop in West Michigan. They offer by-appointment personal dress shopping and fittings for all occasions, most prominently for bridal and prom. Memories’ focus is on serving each client as an individual, often sharing the sentiment urging customers, “Don’t dress like her. Dress like you.” From boho beautiful to sophisticated red carpet glamour, their curated collections feature dresses and designers hand selected with their unique customers in mind.

Challenge:

Memories Bridal & Evening Wear was struggling to gain enough leads during peak prom and bridal season to justify the price they were paying for Google Search Ads and Facebook Ads. They contacted Slick Raven seeking fresh content, a revitalized ad strategy, and consistent updates on the analytics and performance of their ad efforts during their runtime.

Approach:

Slick Raven took over in January of 2023 and employed vibrant and engaging ad content and a better ad strategy to gain more leads that converted to sales during peak prom and bridal season. After analyzing Memories’ organic Google presence (over 300 reviews with nearly a 5 star ranking) and noting that they outperformed any bridal and prom shop in the area organically, we determined the best course of action would be to pause Google ads to verify that they would continue to get website traffic and closed leads through Google without the assistance of paid ads and redirect that funding into refreshing, new, strategically planned Meta Ads.

OUR Process

After analyzing which type of media reached and resonated with their audience best and working closely with the bridal shop’s owner, we arrived at a solid collection of ads to run through Meta. Through strategic ad testing, we noticed that wide pan shots of dress selections and the showroom resonated the best. Secondly, consumers preferred to see dresses on 5 mannequins to show variety. Lastly, photography taken onsite with local models showcasing gowns proved more favorable for viewers. We took this information and developed strategic, fresh Meta ads to run for eleven months during prom and bridal season, January through November of 2023. 

During that time, Slick Raven’s efforts produced 3.2X the bridal leads and 5.6x the prom leads, and our cost per lead was 2.2X and 3X less than the previous year’s, respectively. We reached over 205K accounts, had over 1.8 million impressions, and brought in 503 total leads. After applying their average closing rate and factoring in the average profit per gown, it’s estimated we brought them a ROI of $116,728.19 in 11 months– that’s 3.6X more ROI than the previous agency with only a 27% increase in expenses for marketing services.
